The Aberlour Distillery was founded in 1826 by James Gordon and Peter Weir. Unfortunately in 1878 the original distillery was demolished after a devastating fire but rebuilt once again in 1879 on the current site. Situated close to the Spey River, the name Aberlour means "Mouth of the chattering burn" and the Aberlour single malt whisky contributes to Glen Campbell, House of Lords & Kings Ransom. Check out the Aberlour distillery.
Tasting note: Soft and spicy with a lightly toasted oaky flavour, overlaid with a sherry-sweet nuttiness mixed with ripe apricots and toffee that shamelessly seduces the palate.
