Opened in 1798 at Kirwall on the northerly island of Orkney, Highland Park at latitude of 58.60 north, is the most northerly distillery in the world. Currently, Highland Park is owned by James Grant & Co, Highland Distillers, Edrington Group Ltd and the Highland Park single malt whisky contributes to both Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark blended whiskies.
