Once located by Bowling, Dunbartonshire close to the river Clyde, Littlemill was founded in 1772 by George Buchanan. Now demolished, other brand names for Littlemill are Dumbuck which was a highly peated version and Dunglass which is a lightly peated version. Littlemill single malt whisky contributed to House of Stewart and Royal Escort blended whiskies.
