Founded in 1892 by William Grant who also owned the Glenfiddich distillery is today, one of the largest working distilleries in Scotland. Balvenie was the third of the original seven stills of Dufftown to be completed and its name means "Beathan's Farm" The Balvenie single malt whisky contributes to Grants and Clan Macgregor blended whiskies.
